About Me (the mom that is)
Five foot one inch tall, grieving mommy to an angel and a princess on Earth. I have multicolored hair ![]()
I’m always dying it every so often. I’m funny sarcastic, & rude sarcastic as well ; ), friendly, goofy, nice, respectful, contradictory, funny, sad, bubbly, quiet, funny, outgoing, nerdy, vague,Multilingual if basic words counts
I’m basically Bilingual in Spanish in English and very basic conversational words and phrases in Sign Language and Arabic.
Interests: Pictures, my space (www.myspace.com/mommie2girls) , pictures, music, homeschooling information, links, blogs, scrap booking, sites, and freebies. I like funny people, people who believe in God but have other interests as well. I believe in God; to get what I mean by that you must have some real knowledge about the Bible, I was a hard core young Jehovah Witnesses and then youth teenager years and certain unexplained things and traditions led me away. I left JW stuff about 14 years ago but believe that a lot in the Bible is truth and many don’t follow it when claiming to.
I don’t home school because of Religion. I believe children learn best through hands on experience, through play, and that as parent we are our child’s first Teachers.
I also do believe in God and Only 1 God, or as it’s is said in Arabic ALLAH. I am not a strict Religion follower, I follow me and try to be a good person. I am learning to be more Religious God willing and now pray fives times a day and am trying to be a better Muslimah and follow everything in my Religion. I am a Muslim I re learned and continue to re learn everything the right way. I said my shahadah (testifying the only One God is Allah or becoming Muslim; if you will) 3/13/09. I am highly passionate about Grieving people, especially grieving parents who lost a child, don’t mess with them, it’s not cool and I can’t promise to act my age if I find out someone is being mean to a grieving person. ( http://ilovedestiny-perez.memory-of.com ) I love my family, but at times I need time away from them, as the saying goes : “welcome friends and family, friends anytime, family by appointment” so true! I started “teaching” Evelyn at 2 years 10 months when I realized if I made a song or game of things she would learn them. I taught her to spell her name with a song beat and we have been going little by little ever since then. I avidly started a “curriculum” around February 2009. I don’t really know what I want in life and that’s scary. I mean I have goals, but what do I want to do for the rest of my life?! Only Allah knows. Scary as heck and non committed. I’m talkative…..there is a lot too me.
I live online but a lot less these days, I’m so busy home school pre schooling my daughter and working that I’m doing less my space, e mails, phone calls, and face book. It’s okay though I don’t really miss
it since I still log in.
I love when my daughters face lights up the moment she “gets something”. There is no better reward, I promise you that.
Hopefully I am going at a good enough pace and everything goes well.
We shall see where we go …..
