learning How Society opperates

This week has been productive. We did a spiel on manners, counting, and water conservation which played VERY well into our little family trip to Chicago to the Museum yesterday, so that’s what I call a Field trip ;)

The Museum was actually a excellent place to go because it covers EVERYTHING!

We went to see the big train model and since we have been there previously I actually explained how the train can be used for transportation of goods as well as people.

I took pictures and I asked her what she thought…

She said…”ummm I think I want too play with it” Hahaahaha I guess. So much for my huge heavens parting angels singing learning moment…ahh to be four years old again.

Anyhow we viewed the trains some more, looked at the airplanes hanging above, and she got in an old locomotive as well and then …… “Mommy if someone wants too work on the farm, they can buy a tractor right?” Me: ‘yes dear’. “mhm and then and then the store with the toys can buy it for them and the train can take the tractor all the way over there and that’s how trains are good for us, right mommy, right?”

YES, YES!!!!!!!! She is listening to me and learning awwwwwww♥

I love it!

So see people, learning is NOT limited to a strict lesson plan, a strict sheet with shapes and letters. I feel redeemed. I feel good, I feel….oh shoot…I feel like I better get ready for work! It’s Friday and I go in early all day. I’ll write more this weekend on this blog.
