Hello world!

Hello Homeschoolers.

I would like to introduce you to some unique and wonderful activities for Babies-3 year olds.

They will jump start the learning process as well as provide a great bonding time for you and your baby.

These activities are created with simple items found around the  home.  Very litte prep, so you can be spontaneous “in the moment” with your teaching.

Let the fun begin:

SAMPLE:  “The Scrubbie Little Snowman”

Supplies:  2 clean net style kitchen scrubbies; cotton batting or paper; marker; cloves; cinnamon stick

Directions:  Allow your child to select 2 scrubbies (pkg. usually includes 4).  Experience the texture of it by touching it to hands, face, arms.  Discover together the tied end of the scrubbie and carefully cut the tie to release.  Unroll the scrubbie together, keeping one end in a knot.  Stuff the “tube” with cotton batting or crumbled paper.  Tie a section forming the head of the snowman with string; ribbon or a rubber band. Leave enough of the scrubbie rolled at the bottom for the snowman to stand.  Use the markers to draw a mouth, and buttons.  Stick three cloves into the netting to make the eyes and nose.  Cut a small hole in the sides of the snowman to attach the cinnamon stick arms through the netting.  Be sure to “stop and smell” these interesting spices with your baby.  Talk about “soft” and “rough” (batting and netting).  Name your snowman and pretend he is standing in the yard.  Remove the spices and draw eyes and nose with the marker.  Cut the end of a second scrubbie to form a little hat.

Your baby will want to play with HIS new snowman doll.  ENJOY!
